About
Jorja
Hi my name is Jorja and I'm a naturopath based on the Gold Coast with a goal of helping people feel and perform at their absolute best. Originally from New Zealand, I've called the Gold Coast home for over three years and with the lifestyle, sunshine, and active community here, it's hard to imagine a better place to do the work I do.
This field moves fast, and honestly, that's the part I love most about it. There's a lot of noise in this space. I've put my energy into understanding what actually holds up, because the aim is never what works in general, it's what works for you specifically. What I do sits at the intersection of both worlds, because the goal I work toward with every client was never to be well by conventional standards. It was to function at a level most people have stopped expecting of themselves.

Here are the most common questions I get asked:
FAQs

My bloods come back normal, so why do I feel like I'm running on empty?
This is one of the most common presentations I see in athletes. Standard blood panels are designed to rule out disease, not optimise function, there's a significant gap between "nothing is clinically wrong" and "everything is working well."
Subclinical hormonal imbalances, depleted micronutrient stores, HPA axis dysregulation, and chronic low-grade inflammation rarely show up as a red flag on a standard panel, but they absolutely show up in how you feel and perform. This is exactly the kind of gap I am determined to find.

What happens in the first appointment?
The first session is investigative. We go deep into all the systems, review training load, recovery patterns, sleep quality, digestion, stress load, hormonal symptoms, and anything else that's relevant to how you're feeling and performing. I'll review any existing test results you have and complete a full review of your current supplements to identify where the gaps in the picture are.
By the end of the session you'll have a clear sense of what we're looking at, what we need to investigate further, and what we can start working on immediately. You are encouraged to come with your own health concerns, goals and expectations for our partnership together.

What kind of testing do you do?
Testing depends entirely on what your presentation calls for. Standard pathology is always the starting point but I look at it through a functional lens, which means assessing where your results sit within an optimal range, not just a reference range. Beyond that, I work with advanced hormonal panels, micronutrient analysis, gut microbiome assessment, and HRV data where relevant.
If you're already wearing a wearable tracking device, that data comes into the picture too. The goal is always to build the most complete picture of how your body is actually functioning to get real results.
